Olga Knight, 92, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at St. James Place. She was born on October 23, 1921 to John Sampson and Katherine Cassano Sampson. Mrs. Knight was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and was very active in golf and tennis at Fairwood Country Club. She worked for many years as a teller. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Joseph Benard Fontane; second husband, Harvey Begue; a son, Benard Fontane; a sister, Mary Reine; and a brother, Ernest Sampson. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Knight; a daughter, Kathy Cecile Zerangue and husband Frank of Dallas, TX; two grandsons, Brian Michael Zerangue of Dallas, and David Benjamin Zerangue of Flower Mound, TX; two granddaughters, Natalie Claire Fontane and Christina Leigh Fontane, both of New Iberia, LA; a nephew, Jon Reine of Baton Rouge; and three Great-Grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Residents and Staff of St. James Place, especially her long time sitters, Felicia, Mareille, Chiante, and Annette. in her honor. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government St. from 12:00pm until service time at 2:00pm.
