A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Mrs. Ruby Tullier Hartley will be held at 11 AM Monday at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church; visitation will begin at 9 AM until time of the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. She was the daughter of Leona Kelleher Tullier and Altemus J. Tullier. She departed from this life at the home of her sister on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the age of 85. Mrs. Hartley was a native of Baton Rouge and worked as a clerk with the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of St. Gerard Parish. She enjoyed gardening flowers, and her home. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Hartley, III, children Rebecca Ann Hartley and Chris Joseph Hartley, and siblings, Jimmy Tullier, Anna Cormier, and infant brother Milton Tullier. Survivors include her sons, Charles P. Hartley, IV and John L. Hartley (wife Loretta); stepdaughter Ramona H. Johnston (husband Bill); sister Leola Davis, and brothers A.J. Tullier and Leroy Tullier. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA, 70809.
