Mary Teresa Salario Vince, 85, died on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, with visitation from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 Noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Recitation of the rosary at 11:30 A.M. will be led by her devoted prayer partners, Barbara Messina and Mary Ann Gorsich. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 noon conducted by Rev. Fr. Matthew McCaughey, followed by interment in Green Oaks Memorial Park. Survived by five daughters, Therese Ruffino (Louis III), Loretta DiLaura (James), Kathleen Zumo, Elizabeth Rusciano (Frank), step-daughter, Jo Ann Levatino (Donald) and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Vince; two sons, Robert Vince and Howard Vince (Dorothy); brother, Blaise Salario (Gwen); and sister, Ms. Angelina Bowen; and 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Josephine Piazza Salario; husband, Joseph Vince, Sr., son, Joseph Vince, Jr.; son-in-law, David Zumo; three sisters, Frances Sagona, Bess Bowen Schwinn, and Rose Salario; one brother, Frank Salario. Pallbearers will be Louis Ruffino, IV, Frankie Rusciano, III, Timothy Vince, Shane Martin, Michael Salario, William (Bill) Salario, Alfred Ortego, John Ortego, Robert Henderson, and Cpl. Logan LeBlanc, USMC. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the extraordinary care given to our mother over the years by two outstanding physicians, Dr. Melanie McKnight and Dr. Uyen Caro. Their knowledge and expertise made them physicians, but it was their hearts that made them family to us. We truly believe it was their skills and compassion that extended her life, giving us more time with this phenomenal woman.
