A retired sanitation superintendent and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Friday, March 12, 2010, in Baton Rouge. He was 60, a native of Laurel, Miss., and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visiting at Beacon Light Baptist Church on Monday, March 22, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Eric Williams, pastor. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Gayle McFarland; father, Sandy McFarland; daughters, Michele, Tishawn and Chenelle; son, Cecil Jr.; sisters, Johnnie Mae and Dianne Harris; brothers, Jeffery, David Sr., Sandear and Rodger; and grandchildren, Maliah, Malesha and Peyton. Arrangements by Winnfield Funeral Home.
