Claire Foster went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at 5:15 p.m. She courageously fought a battle with aggressive breast cancer. She was 72 years old. A registered nurse with a masters degree in hospital administration, she was a loving mother, caring wife and grandmother. She was a native of Old Lyme, Conn., and longtime resident of Baton Rouge. She spent her life caring for others and lovingly guiding her family. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. until service in the chapel at noon, conducted by Dr. Richard Blue. Interment will take place in Walker Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Foster; sons, Ralph J. Waite IV and wife Terese, Scott M. Waite and wife Jennifer, and Daniel E. Waite; brothers, Earl Simoneau and wife Doris, Robert Simoneau and wife Teri, and Roy Simoneau and wife Jean; sister, Elizabeth Simoneau and husband Jim; grandchildren, Adam Waite, Matt Waite, Drew Waite and Samantha Waite and many loving members of the Foster family. She was preceded in death by father, Earl Simoneau; and mother, Irene Desmarias Simoneau. She enjoyed traveling, RVing, gardening and motorcycling with her devoted and loving husband.
