Peter B. Schlette, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 in Winter Springs, Florida at the age of 50. He was a resident of Denham Springs and was the owner and operator of Bad Bird Trucking. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. conducted by Father Vincent Dufresne. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Denham Springs. Survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Oswald; parents, Peter B., Sr. and Ruth E. Doyle Schlette; 1 daughter, Grace Elle Schlette; 1 son, Peter B. Schlette, III; 1 step-daughter, Elyssa Mitchum; 2 sisters, Teresa Fuqua, Joanne and husband Michael Danna, 1 brother, Michael Schlette and wife Michelle; nieces and nephews, Keeno Fuqua Jr., Jessica Fuqua Mason, Ashley Schlette, Sarah Schlette, Landon Schlette, Matthew Danna, Katie Danna, Josh Danna; and many aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by his daughter, Emma Marie Schlette and brother-in-law, Keeno Fuqua, Sr. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. He is loved and will be missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Building Fund, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, LA 70726. There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of Pete immediately following the burial at the Knights of Columbus Council 6326 home at 803 Cockerham Road, Denham Springs, LA 70726.
