A retired food service manager for East Baton Rouge Parish school system, she died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 58, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Valverda. Visiting at A. Wesley Funeral Home, 10810 Ventress Drive, Maringouin, on Friday, Oct. 12, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visiting at Jubilee Christian Center, 14595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by Pastor Johnny and Shelly Hollins. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter, Carmen Ginn Harrison and husband Mario; two nieces whom she reared, Ella DeRogers and Tasha Carroll; five brothers, Johnnie (Cecilia) Green, Ivan (Lola) Green, David (Irma) Ginn, Charles Ginn and Clarence Ginn; three sisters, Lou Bertha Sterling, Audrey James and Eula Mae Ginn; aunt and uncle; nieces, including a special niece, LaDonnya Lane; nephews, including a special nephew, Michael Ginn; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Whilimena Martin.
