Harold P. Richard Jr. passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the age of 71. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Christine Halstead Richard; one daughter, Shari Richard; two sisters, Anne Peterson and husband James and Patricia Porto and husband Frank; three grandchildren, Stephanie Thornton, Kristi Reech, and Dustin Reech; one great-grandchild, Shelby Thornton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold P. Sr. and Marcelle Richard. A memorial inurnment will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10:30 am. Harold worked as a newspaper carrier for The Advocate for over 40 years. He was a veteran in the US Navy and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis/Bay of Pigs.
