Harold Richard, Jr. Obituary

Harold P. Richard Jr. passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the age of 71. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Christine Halstead Richard; one daughter, Shari Richard; two sisters, Anne Peterson and husband James and Patricia Porto and husband Frank; three grandchildren, Stephanie Thornton, Kristi Reech, and Dustin Reech; one great-grandchild, Shelby Thornton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold P. Sr. and Marcelle Richard. A memorial inurnment will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10:30 am. Harold worked as a newspaper carrier for The Advocate for over 40 years. He was a veteran in the US Navy and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis/Bay of Pigs. My sincere condolences to all on the death of your beloved Harold. I know you will miss him dearly.

Christine, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Although it has been several years since I last saw Harold, I have fond memories of the times we had growing up as first cousins. They will be with me forever.
