Passed Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 in Medford, Oregon. He was 64, a native of Baton Rouge. Tyrone attended Capitol High School and was a United States Marines Veteran who served in Vietnam in 1966. Visiting will be held Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at Saintsville Church of God in Christ, 8930 Plank Rd. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until religious service at 12 p.m. Survivors include his children, Felicia Morrison, Tyrone Rankins, Jr., Malekah Rankins, Andrea Washington, Marcel Fultz and Leandra Shaver; four brothers, Jerome, Timothy, Charles and Marcus Rankins; three sisters, Quran Bilal, Dyan Bernita Rankins and Tanya Rankins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Davis and Rosa Rankins. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs.
