A native of Wilson, La., he died Monday, Feb, 4 2013 at OLOL with loving family by his side. He was 78, U.S. Army, Retired. Visiting at Macedonia M.B.C., 2800 Wyandotte St., on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., with funeral service following at 12 noon, conducted by Rev. David Newman. Interment in Ruth cemetery, Wilson, La. Survivors include his spouse, Enola Williams: sons, Watson (Cynthia) Williams III, Wendell Williams, Derrick Williams; daughter, Yanlanei (Wolfgang) Schwenke, Austin, Texas; step-son, Eric (Lisa) Jackson, Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; Godchild, Stephanie Burton. Preceded in death by his parents and a son. He was an avid fisherman, and he loved spending quality time with grandchildren. He was a member of Glen Oaks Security Dads, Delmont Community Center Advisory Board, East Baton Rouge Volunteers in Public Schools, Holiday Helpers, Inc., Bonette Harrison American Legion Post 502, & Forest Heights Academy of Excellence Volunteer.
