I am the resurrection and the life: and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. JN 11:26 John lost his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was 70 years old. He was former resident of Lafitte, La and a resident of Jarreau, La for 34 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from Chevron Corporation in production. He leaves behind to treasure his memory his wife and soul mate of 53 years Diane Munster Wildey. His children: John Wildey, III and his wife Milinda Pizani Wildey, Wanda Wildey Guidry, Lorne Wildey and his wife Tammie Allain Wildey, Tricia Wildey Wood and her husband Rob Wood. His grandchildren: Brad, Cassie & Jordan Wildey, Ashton, Rachel & Jonathan Guidry, Nick Wildey, Megan Wildey, Lauren Parish, Bryce Wildey, Sean & Kaylie Wood. Great-Grandchildren: Nola & Katherine Wildey, Rayleigh Goudeau, Tynes, Dane & Micah Guidry, Aaliyah & Noah Wildey, Brooklyn Ryder & Riley Leger & his buddy, June ya. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and his special children who called him their other daddy or Pops. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Bessie Fazende Wildey, his brothers Millard and Brian Wildey and Donald Bailly who he was as close to as his brothers. His father-in-law Dominick Rudolph and mother-in-law Catherine Munch Rudolph and his son-in-law Michael Guidry. Special thanks to the wonderful caring Nurses in the ER & ICU, to all of the respiratory therapists and the nurses and staff on the Telemetry floor as well as all of the doctors of Ochsner Medical Center who took such awesome care of our loved one. Visiting will be held at Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads on Tuesday June 25, 2013 from 5 pm until 10 pm and on Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland from 8 am until Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 10 am.
