Always be "Special K" strong. A native and resident of Addis, Kolby passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 11:54 p.m. at LSU Medical Interim University Hospital at the age of 25. He was a paint tech at J&S Automotive for 9 years. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Wednesday, July 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday, August 1, from 8 to 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine at 10:30 celebrated by Rev. Jason Palermo. Burial to follow in Grace Memorial Park. Kolby is survived by his father, Lance J. Lorio of Addis, sister, Kacy L. Troxclair and husband Michael "Too Tall" of Plaquemine; step-brother, Bryan Messina of Los Angeles, CA; grandparents, Calvin and Rosemary Lazzaro Lorio of Plaquemine and Judy Rivet McLaughlin of Brusly; soul mate and best friend, Whitney L. Borruano of Addis; godchild, Ethan M. Troxclair; aunt, Lisa Lorio Casey and husband Robert "Bobby" Casey of Livermoore, CA; first cousins, Logan and Cortlan Casey; future sister-in-law, Chelsea Borruano of Addis. Kolby is preceded in death, great grandparents, Laura Lazzaro, godfather, Millard "Middy" Bourgeois. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Kelly Crowder, Stanley and Mikey Fenton, Justin "Brownie" Brown, Justin "Moe" Hughes, T.J. Waldrop, Shawn Roy and Jason Suire. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael "Too Tall" Troxclair, Logan Casey, Bryan Messina, Edward "Big Ed" Guidry, Spencer Gauthreaux, Jake Blanchard, Kameron "Winkle" Graham, Dylan Andre, Cole Leonard, Matt Lopez, Brady Hotard, Zac Lemoine, Jude Barker, Rudy Ourso, Matthew Ramagos, his softball and J&S Family along with the Brusly Class of '06 along with all the people who knew and loved Kolby. He lived his life to the fullest, he enjoyed whatever he was doing, he never met a stranger, he loved his godchild more than life itself and his dog, his smile and love of life will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Kolby was a co-founder of Jk Tailgating and it will not be the same without him. The family wishes to thank the staff of LSU Medical Interim University Hospital and all the family and friends who visited or prayed for Kolby and his family.
