Charles Clement Jaubert, MD., passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at his daughter's home in Gentilly. He was 87 years old. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Clara Holiday Jaubert. Father of Charles (Chip) Jaubert, Jr., Christine Jaubert Carroll, and the late David Frank Jaubert. Father-in-law to Henry (Hank) Carroll. Son of the late Francis Leon and Albertine Fontan Jaubert. Son-in-law of the late Frank Earl and Grace Nicholson Holiday. Brother of Marie Jaubert Villere, Odile Jaubert Cabirac and the late Francis L. Jaubert, Jr. Brother-in-law of the late Andre' L. Villere, the late Henry A. Cabirac, the late Jean Smith Jaubert, the late Peggy Mitchell Jaubert, Dixie Stockstill Holiday and the late Frank E. Holiday, Jr. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Charles graduated from Jesuit High School in 1942 and Tulane University School of Medicine in 1948 where he was president of Phi Rho Sigma Medical Fraternity. He interned at Charity Hospital in New Orleans from 1948 to 1949. He moved to Lumberton, MS, and practiced general medicine, there, from 1949 to 1954. He moved to Gentilly in 1955 where he practiced family medicine from 1956 to 1993. He worked at the New Orleans Substance Abuse Clinic until 1996. He was a member of St. James Major Parish for many years and the Knights of Columbus Gentilly Council 2925. He resided in Gentilly Terrace until his death. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday evening, August 8, 2013 at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans. From 6:00 pm until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am until service time.
