Joseph "Joey" Digirolamo Jr., resident of Greenville, MS, passed away in Baton Rouge on October 3, 2013 at the age of 46. Joey was born on January 31, 1967 in Baton Rouge. A graduate of Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge in 1985, Joey received his Associates Degree from Baton Rouge School of Computers and also attended Louisiana State University. Joey worked as a manager for McDonald's for over 25 years and was most recently the front desk clerk at Greenville Inn and Suites for the Trop Casino Greenville. Cooking and entertaining friends was one of his great passions, and Joey also enjoyed decorating for holidays, especially Christmas. He loved to travel, especially to Disney and Las Vegas, and was a great friend to anyone that took the time to know him. Joey will be greatly missed by his partner of 16 years, John Henry Roush; siblings, Darlene McCarthy, Frankie Day, Toni Edward, and David Guilbeau; maternal grandmother, Marie Yenni; god children, Brennon Wax, Casie Lindsly and Jade Wax; special person, Vickie Guilbeau; his many nieces and nephews and his loving pet, Pearl Roush Digirolamo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Frank Sr. and Lynn Digirolamo. Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 5-8pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 10am until the funeral service at 12pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Slaughter United Methodist Church in Slaughter, LA or to any cancer research association.
