Eva L. Coco, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Eva, 83, was much loved by her family. She was a wonderful singer and pianist who shared her gifts with family, friends, nursing homes, and for many years the St. Aloysius choir. She and her husband Norton were founding members of St. Aloysius church parish, and were very active parishioners. She delighted in children, especially her own grandchildren. She was also a wonderful cook, and her lasagna, crawfish etouffee and crabmeat mornay were the centerpieces of many joyful gatherings. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Norton Coco. She is also survived by her children and their spouses Annie Coco (Leo Triche), Tommy Coco (Helen Kelly-Coco), Mary Maassen (Howard), and Carolyn Schwarzhoff (Jay) as well as her grandchildren Karen Maassen, Elisa Maassen, Jeffrey Maassen, Brian Coco, Tess Coco, and Dean Schwarzhoff. Funeral arrangements are in care of Rabenhorst on Government St. There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 17 at Rabenhorst from 6-8 pm, and a rosary will be said at 7pm. The funeral will be held at St. Aloysius church on Friday, October 18 at 11am, with a 10am visitation beforehand. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge.
