A native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA, Richard passed away in his home of natural causes on February 3, 2014 at age 72. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Ingram and husband George Ingram, Jr. of Denham Springs, LA, daughter Cortni Bell of Denham Springs, LA, granddaughter Madeline "Maddie" Ingram, granddaughter Riley "Bug" Bell, grandson Brayden "Short Stack" Silessi, sister Ann Patterson of PA, cousin Jimmy McDaniel of Long Beach, MS, as well as several surviving cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Hensley Bell and Helen May McDaniel Bell of Long Beach, MS. Richard was an "old school" architect and had been in practice for forty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air National Guard, as well as a member of Power Squadron of Baton Rouge and an Eagle Scout. Richard was passionate about cooking and several of his recipes were featured in the Advocate. He enjoyed music, watching movies and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a friend to everyone who knew him and will be missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
