Greg Sollie returned to his Father on January 22, 2015 at home. He was an adoring husband of 28 years and a dedicated loving father to his daughter and son. To all that knew him he was a mentor, a friend, and a gentle giant. Not only was he a Physics teacher at Catholic High for 19 years, he mentored the robotics team, the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build, and he chaperoned the CHS/SJA annual Washington DC trip for 18 years. He was also a BRABOA basketball referee for 32 years. He was famous for his quirky nonsensical sayings that have become known as, "Sollieisms." He is survived by his wife Patti Sollie, his daughter Rachal Sollie his son Christopher Sollie and daughter-in-law Alise LeBouef Sollie. He is also survived by his brother Kent Sollie and sister-in-law Marty McKinney Sollie; sisters: Carryn Sollie and Danene Sollie Hebert and his brother-in-law Darren Hebert. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He preceded in death by his father Gerald Sollie and mother Sherry Sollie. A memorial service will be held at Catholic High School Gym on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 with visitation from 4-6 followed by the memorial service at 6 pm with reception to follow in the Catholic High School Union. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic High School Robotics Team and Habitat for Humanity of Baton Rouge. In the words of Greg, "Have a day."
