Mabel Barrow Hayes, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was the only child born to Edna Jackson Barrow and Phillip Barrow of Baton Rouge on September 17, 1916. Mabel retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System after forty years of service as a Registered Dietitian. On Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the age of 98, Mabel Barrow Hayes said goodbye to her loved ones on earth to join her loved ones in Heaven. Her family and friends are grateful for the time we were privileged to have this wonderful gift from God. Mabel will be most remembered for her quick wit, great sense of humor, and peaceful demeanor. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Mabel is survived by five of her seven children, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. The Hayes family will be celebrating her Homegoing on: Saturday, August 29, 2015, Viewing 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Religious Service, to be conducted at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Pastor Henry Brown, Sr., located at 1204 St. Joseph St., Baton Rouge, LA.; Cemetery Service to be held at Green Oaks Memorial Park, located at 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Hall-Davis and Sons, 9348 Scenic Hwy., Baton Rouge.
