Memories and Condolences
for Joseph Harrison

Not sure what to say?

Mr Harrison was a great help to me , I was very behind in school but through his compassion and kindness he encouraged me, He did not look down on me because my family was very poor farmers, I really wish I could have talk with him before he left Us and let him know how much he meant to me. I saw Him at a funeral in Lettsworth La. we made eye contact over the crowd of people , And connected in the spirit! Its that connection that keep me going , Remembering him and the feeling that He was proud of me and the Man I had become by the Grace of God . God Blessings to the Harrisons Family. Thank you Mr. Joe Harrison ! You will never be forgotten. Thank you Sir. Heaven knows. Agape ❤

On behalf of my mother and siblings, I just wanted to say that Mr. Harrison will be sadly missed. He and my father, the late Edward Epps, were the best of friends. When my father left us, he asked Mr. Harrison to look out for us, so he became a surrogate dad for us. Words alone cannot express our grief over his passing. We were hurt beyond words. Please accept our prayers and condolences. As his family, we love you dearly.

Mr. Harrison was one of those special persons you meet and they have an immediate and lasting impact on your life. I first encountered him at LaBarre Elementary and he set the rules and expectations, he made all of the students he came in contact with feel as though they were the only ones that mattered. He expected and demanded so much for us, his belief in us is responsible for the success many of us have today, we were not allowed to settle. I thank God that he was a part of my life and I shall always remember that wide and welcoming smile, it was always the same from the first time I met him until the last, a smile as big as his heart! His presence here made the world a better world, I'm sure heaven is a little brighter with his presence as well.
