An account manager with Lofton Staffing Services and a resident of Gonzales, he died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Chambers County, Texas, as the result of an automobile accident. He was 28 and a native of Metairie. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, was on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Wednesday from 8 a.m. until Rite of Christian Burial at 9 a.m., conducted by Deacon Thomas Labat. Graveside service at Beulah Methodist Church Cemetery, Marthaville, at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Survived by his mother, Micheline Bagur Durr, Prairieville; brother, Scott Raymond Durr, of Atlanta; maternal grandmother, Antoinette Bagur, Metairie; and three godchildren, Kimberly Anne Murry, Mandeville, and Colby and Trey Kiley, both of Birmingham, Ala. Preceded in death by his father, John Clifton Durr Jr.; maternal grandfather, Thomas Bagur Jr.; paternal grandparents, Mary Evelyn and John Clifton Durr Sr. Pallbearers will be Chris Duplessis, Adam Hoover, Wayne Murry, B.J. Taillon, Clint Braud and Jay Russo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Services, CASA or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
