A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went to her eternal home on Friday January 12, 2018. She was 83 years old, a native of Clinton and resident of Central. Inez drove a Special Ed school bus for East Baton Rouge Parish with over 20 years of service. She was an exquisite cook and she loved to travel and spend time with her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 63 years Merlin C. Smith; three daughters, Karen Harrison and husband Randy, Beth Olinde, Megan Patrick and husband Ronald; four grandchildren, Kadie Johnson and husband Steven, Casey Harrison, Kelly Olinde, Ashton Olinde; four great-grandchildren, Eli Johnson, Lola Johnson, Levie Johnson and Hunter Womack. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Zoar Baptist Church on Monday January 15, 2018 from 9am until Celebration of Life Service at 11am, Conducted by Rev. Kevin Hand. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was preceded in death by parents and her brother Stanley Day. Condolences may be offered at www.sealefuneral.com.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Ms Inez.....I can remember back when we were in school and Ms Inez was a sub teacher. I remember all the times that she and Mr Merle came to hear music from my Uncles and Cousins. She will be sadly missed

Mr. Merlin, Karen, Beth, and Meagan, I was so saddened to hear of Ms. Inez's passing. I have so many good memories from when we would all get together. I haven't seen you in such a long time, but I want to let you know that all of you are in my prayers. I'm so sorry that I couldn't make it to the services. God Bless.
