Pamela R. Anderson, January 24, 1969 – October 7, 2020. Pamela R. Anderson, age 51, returned to her Heavenly home on October 7th, 2020, after a valiant battle with Stage IV Stomach Cancer. Her devotion to her family and her belief in GOD supported her in this struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Pamela was born to her late beloved Mother Janice W. Vaughn, in Baton Rouge, LA on January 24th, 1969. She was also raised by her late beloved Aunt Idella C. Mitchell. Pam was also an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, LA. She also received a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a master's degree in Mass Communication from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. Literature was a passion of Pam's and reading the great writers in history always brought joy to her heart. Pamela was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield as an Interplan Operations Documentation Specialist. She truly enjoyed her career at BCBS, and she always looked forward to assisting others in anyway possible. Pamela is survived by her brother Carl Anderson along with her aunts Marsha and Trisha Curry. As well as her uncle Robert Curry. She also leaves a large host of cousins and friends behind that will greatly miss her. Pamela was soft spoken and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by her love ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with the Creator. Pamela's Memorial Service will be held at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday (October 17th, 2020) at 1:00pm. The family gratefully accept flowers, but prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted at www.winnfieldfuneralhome-batonrouge.com/obituary/Pamela-Anderson. Smart, witty and kind! Her smile was infectious and her laughter will resonate in my mind forever. I'll miss my friend/former Blue Cross co-worker, but I know she's with God and I'll see her again. May God comfort your hearts today and in the days to come.

I met Pamela when she was a student at Virginia College. She was hired there after graduation so we became coworkers. At this time she was also working at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Baton Rouge. Upon the closure of VC we became coworkers again as I began to work at BCBS. Each time we saw one another we stopped and talked, and talked and talked some more. She was always polite and pleasant. It's unfortunate that I wasn't able to see her again as I left BCBS but she is a person that I'll never forget. I offer my deepest condolences and prayers to the family.
