Gary, at the age of 69, passed away on December 6, 2015. He was a long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He served in the United States Army, was a graduate of Southeastern LA University, and Istrouma High 1964. Survived by children Rusty, Damon, and Randall (Amanda) Whittington. 6 grandchildren Jordyn, Landen, Olivia, Isaac, Anna, Ian. Sister Kimberly Brown. Preceded in death by parents Robert Howell and Lexie Whittington. Visitation and services to be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Saturday, December 12, 2015, with visitation 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and religious service at 12:00 pm. Interment following at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Gary was a good friend to us and we will fondly remember the good times we shared together! We still laugh thinking of the adventures we had on his houseboat. Needless to say, he will be missed! God Rest Your Soul, Gary!

We are certainly gonna miss our ole buddy, Gary...Jimmy & Gary grew up together at Hollywood Elementary & IHS....then worked together at Ethyl Corporation....to his family we are so sorry for your Dad's passing & will forever cherish our Funtime memories with him...he had such a great personality & his smile & funny laugh will never b forgotten...Now...your pain is gone & no more worries..just wish you could have stayed a lil longer but God loved you more...May You Now Rest In Peace....your ole friends, Jimmy & Ann
