Just learnt the sad news of Aimée's death. I spent nearly a week at her home for Xmas 2003. Had a wonderful time with her. By chance, we attended the ceremonies for the 200th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase. She made me and my friend Martin a tour of Louisiana (New Orleans, Bâton Rouge, LaFayette, etc.) and we even went to Biloxi, Mississippi and the Stennis Space Center. Really good memories, and lots of fun!

Dear all,
I'm Sabine. Marie-Laurences daughter. I'm so sad to learn Aimee's departure. À part of my childwood is going away with her. I can remember how happy I was when aimée came to See us. I was proud to say that to my friends, while I was just beginning to learn english at school. It was fantastic, we laughed a lot, she was always in a good mood. It was funny when she spoke to Shaun in a non academic american!
She always invited me to come in Louisiana, I should have come, it is one of my big regrets.
I think of you all and wish you some strength to surmount this event.

Rose and Patrick as I don't have to tell
you...you had a wonderful mother. My mother thought very highly of her as did
my dad with both your parents. I think Daddy did a lot of dozer work for them in the early 70s before his accident.
God Bless and grant you comfort and peace as you know where your sweet mother is.
