Gladys, I received a call from Leon Jackson a day or so ago and was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We were cousins and as you probably know spent 4 years at the Univ of AL staying in the same private home.
During our early to mid teenage years we played sandlot baseball and football behind Mr. Herman's store in Silas, most every Saturday during the summer months.
We studied together in college during our freshman and sophomore years and helped each other with some difficult courses such as chemistry and physics but also had some good times away from the books while at the University.
Please pass on my and Ann's condolences to your extended family. We will miss seeing Jim at the class reunion and will remember you all in our prayers.
