Eunice Marie Borne passed away peacefully at the age of 93, at her granddaughter, Julie's home, in Maurepas, LA on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 6:21 p.m. A former resident of Galvez, LA and native of Prairieville, LA. She retired from the United States Postal Service having worked at the old Prairieville Post Office and worked 25 plus years at The Store in Prairieville. She loved working at The Store and had a special love for the owners, Larry and Becky LeJeune, and the employees. She grew up on a family farm and enjoyed gardening, farming, and taking care of her animals. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Charles Marceaux. Entombment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Prairieville, LA. Survived by her five grandchildren, Julie L. Smith and husband, Johnny, Anna Stevens Matson, Carol Hosmer Smith and husband, Brian, Pamela Hosmer Carter and husband, Bruce, and Johnny Hosmer; sister-in-law, Dorothy Borne; twelve great grandchildren, Karen Borne, Ariel Berthelot, Blaine Borne and wife, Candace, Johnny Smith Jr., Amber Renee Stevens, Gina Lanclos Robin and husband, Anthony, Misty Stevens, Ronald Smith, Lindsey-Rae Smith, Joey Guitreau, Dakota Guitreau and wife, Lauren, and Josh Guitreau; twelve great-great grandchildren, Tayla Borne, Marley Baldwin, Graciee Lilly, Lelah Stevens, Christopher Mabry and wife, Amber, Kaylee Stevens, Skylee Stevens, Cullen Turner, Destiny Stevens, E. Michael Stevens, R. Shawn Stevens, Jolie Marie Elkins, and other great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild, Ava Mabry; and other great-great-great grandchildren; cousins; nieces; and nephews, including a special nephew, Al Daigle Jr. Preceded in death by her parents, Armour Peter and Julie Himel Borne; son, Ronald James Borne and wives, Donna Stevens Borne and Louise Hosmer Borne; sister, Sarah Daigle and husband, Alonzo; six brothers, Elmo Borne, Floyd Borne and wife, Effie, Bentz Borne and wife, Lottie, Nolan Borne and wife, Nora, Clifton Borne and wife, Rosalie, and Edward Borne and wife, Gertrude; and great grandson, Shawn Michael Stevens.
