Linda B. Carey was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on September 13, 1947. She was a dedicated Nutritional Service Coordinator at Divine Guidance Christian School until retiring. She was an amazing Floral Designer and Wedding Coordinator for many years. Linda also had a passion for going fishing. Her love for Christ was expressed daily through every personal encounter. She showered everyone with love and made you feel like she's known you all of your life with the very first glimpse of that amazing smile. When visiting her home you could feel the love of Christ through entering the door. Her love for crosses and angels was magnificently expressed throughout her beautiful home. She never let her health get in the way of showing love everywhere she went. She enjoyed going to church and worshipping the Lord and rarely let anything stop her. Her expression of love through cooking and baking filled many hearts and stomachs for years. Our hearts will forever treasure all of the many deposits of love and compassion she spread. On Friday, August 3, 2018, Linda transitioned from our midst to her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Brown Sr. and Edna Carter Brown; Brothers, Everette Brown and Vanyawn Brown. It seems like yesterday that Miss Carey was here with us cooking those famous red beans, calling to talk to her big brother Henry, and later she and I have wonderful conversations. Years of love a wonderful and Blessed Sister In Law. Truly Missed. Now you and Henry are resting waiting for that Great Day, and I know when God gets ready I too will join. God Got It
