She went to her eternal home on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the age of 89. She passed peacefully at her home in Central surrounded by loving family after a brief illness with cancer. Her birthplace was Stonewall, MS, however she was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge where she worked for 10 yrs at Hi Nabor. Ollie was met in heaven by a son Robert Earl (Bobby) Smith, three brothers and two sisters. Surviving family members are her son William (Bill) Smith; daughters Linda Smith and Diane Holden; daughter/son-in-law Debbie and David Shaffett; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also, a sister, Christine (Sis) Landry of Ventress, LA. No memorial service has been planned at this time. Any memorial monetary donations may be made to The Hospice of Baton Rouge. Our family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to this group for the compassionate care given by all, especially Dana, Shay & Chaplain Todd.
