Carmen passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 9, 2018 surrounded by her family at the age of 61. She was an employee of Port Allen Wal-Mart; resident of Port Allen and native of Long Beach, MS. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 11am until religious services at 2pm, conducted by Pastor Matthew Beisel. Interment will follow at Chenal Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John E. Nolen; daughters, Linda Collins and Melissa Nolen; and grandchildren, John D. Nolen, Orrin Noland, Michael Davenport and Jordan Davenport; brothers in law, Samuel Nolen, Jr. and wife Viola and James Nolen and wife Susan; and sisters in law, Olive Pavolanie and husband Danny, Mary Lancaster and husband Al, Dorothy Bowman, and Shirley Valdez and husband Richie. Preceded in death by her brother, Steve Childs; mother and father in law, Samuel Nolen Sr. and Jimmie E. Nolen; nephews, Samuel Nolen III and Shane Bowman; and brother in law, Harvey Louis Nolen. Pallbearers will be David Noland, Paul Collins, Paul Martin, Maine Nolen, C.J. Nolen and Cizar Weatherford. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Nolen and Jimmy Nolen.
