""I heard the voice of Jesus say, Come unto Me, and rest; lay down Thou weary one, lay down Thy head upon My breast."" Our mother, Verna' Holliday Langlois, left this earthly life on September 11, 2018 at the age of 93. We, her children, know in our hearts she was greeted into Heaven by her Lord Jesus Christ and embraced by our dad, our angel brother Edward, her father, mother, brothers and sisters. It is with heavy hearts we give up our mother but we rejoice in knowing that our angel brother is now with his mother. Verna' was born in 1925 in Covington, Louisiana. She moved to Baton Rouge when she was 17 and there met the love of her life, our father, Clifton Langlois Sr. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Langlois Reeves, her son Clifton ""Buddy"" Langlois Jr. and his wife Myra, her daughter Peggy Langlois Kidd and her husband Jim Kidd, and her daughter Renee Langlois Muse and her husband Randy Muse; her grandchildren: Kenneth Julian (Misty), Shannon Julian Clemons, Adam Langlois, Kristy Kidd Waguespack (Desi), Nick Kidd, Tasha Muse Phillips (Jay), and Cody Muse (Brieanna Kennedy); and her great-grandchildren: Shawnie (Jill) and Shay Clemons, Destiny and Remi Julian, James Douglas Kidd, and Wesley Phillips. Verna' was predeceased by her husband Clifton Langlois Sr., her infant son Edward Charles Langlois, her father Griff Holliday, her mother Josephine Sharp Holliday, her sisters Necie, Lois and Joyce and her brothers Bill and Ernest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church-14040 Greenwell Springs Rd. Greenwell Springs, LA 70739 with visitation from 9:30am to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park-9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Julian, Nick Kidd, Cody Muse, Desi Waguespack and Jay Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Langlois, Shawnie Clemons, Chuck Langlois, Ronnie Langlois and Butch Langlois.
