Patricia Mary Nutter Planche was born on August 31, 1951, and slipped peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, February 7, 2019, in Sugarland, Texas. Tricia endured a long journey with many bouts with cancer all with grace and a determination to live a full life, always trusting in her God to carry her through her illness. Tricia is survived by her husband David Pipes Planche Jr.; her loving sons, Adam Christian Planche and Martin Andre Planche; her siblings, Fr. Jack Nutter, Leslie Nutter, Tim Nutter (Melanie) and Bridget Nutter Wolfe (David); niece Emilie Nutter and nephew Nicholas Nutter. Tricia was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas J. Nutter and Mary Lois Keefe Nutter. Visitation with the family will be at St. Aloysius Church 2025 Stuart Ave. Baton Rouge, LA on Thursday, February 14, 2019, from 5-7 pm.at 7 pm a Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Phil Spano, Fr. Randy Cuevas and Fr. Jack Nutter. A reception in the Parish Hall will be available during visitation and following the Mass. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her memory to St. Joseph Academy, Cancer Services of Baton Rouge or Cat Haven. Our family is deeply grateful for the love and tremendous medical care of Dr. Michael Castine and his staff, and Dr. Daniel Karp and his staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The host of friends who cared for Tricia during her illness are friends of faith and sustained our family in prayer and support. We are grateful for how they lifted all of us during this journey. Special gratitude to the children and staff of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School who prayed for "Miss Baby" daily.

A TV show just now mentioned Hodgkins Lymphoma. I immediately Googled Tricia´s name as we lost touch many years ago and was sad to find this obituary. She and I worked together at the bank when I was at LSU and became close friends. I recall attending a Vince Vance and the Valiants concert together. I vividly remember when she received her first diagnosis and when she and David got engaged and married. Tricia was a wonderful person who I am blessed to have been friends with many, many years ago.

Dear Mr. David, Adam, and Martin,
I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your wife and mother. She truly was an amazing person. She was kind, engaging, funny, and always friendly. Being next door neighbors with you for more than a decade, I was consistently reminded as to what a beautiful and wonderful person she was. She touched so many parts of my life. Two fun memories of her that stand out is when she first introduced me to sherbet ice cream one hot summer afternoon, and opening my first savings account at Hibernia National Bank. My deepest condolences go out to you. Mrs. Tricia will always be held in a special place in my heart.

David and Family, Jack, Tim, Leslie and Bridget, I am so very saddened to hear of Tricia's passing. I like to think that she got all of the best qualities from all of our families. So kind and sweet, courageous and smart. I am heartened to think of her reunion with Uncle Nick and Aunt Lois and in the presence of our dear Lord Jesus. I pray for God's consoling graces for your families.

My condolences to the Planche and Nutter families. Tricia and I attended St. Thomas More and St. Joseph's Academy together (we even rode the same school bus). She later worked with my mother at Fidelity Bank Card Center. She was such a lovely person.

Ms. Tricia was my very first friend that I made when I moved back to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. She was the most sweetest and kindest woman and I will never forget her friendship. Rest in peace, Ms. Tricia. You will be missed.
