Catherine Alice Troxclair Waguespack (Ms. Cat) born April 1, 1934, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2021. Ms. Cat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker and later worked as hostess for The Cabin Restaurant and Vince's Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour R. Waguespack; 4 brothers, Noah, Thaddeus, Malcolm and Vince Troxclair; 1 sister, Janice T. Beadle and a grandson. Catherine is survived by her seven children and their spouses; Tanya (Morris) Mitchell, Karen (Michael) Minvielle, Michele (Jimmy) Smiley, Jr., Alice (Lee) Waggenspack, Seymour "Moe" (Julie) Waguespack, Kurt Waguespack and Steve (Elizabeth) Waguespack. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, sisters Eliska "Lizzy" Mosley and Patricia "Patsy" Anderson as well as sisters-in-law, Gwen and Patricia Troxclair and brother-in-law Wayne Beadle. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at Ourso Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Catholic Church cemetery in Convent, LA. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Ms. Cat's honor. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face masks are required to be worn during the visitation and the funeral service. Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales (www.oursofh.com) is in charge of arrangements.
