A lifelong resident of New Orleans, he died Friday, March 29, 2013, at age 78. Visiting at Boyd Chapel, 5801 Chef Menteur Highway, on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Providence Memorial Park, Metairie. Survived by his wife, Jackleen Duckworth; children, Charlene Jenkins, Sheila Duckworth, Charles Duckworth Jr., Wanda Duckworth and Darlene Duckworth; brother, Odesa Duckworth; two sisters, Irma Blunt and Eloise Kinsley; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
