Not sure what to say?

I just read the book The Perfect Mile and was sadden to learn that Sir Roger Bannister has left this earth. As a runner I am in awe of the men in this book and their accomplishments. My belated condolences to the family of such a powerful man!

It's never easy experiencing the death of a love one. The Bible provides us with an abundance of comfort at a time like this. In the book of Isaiah, chapter 41 verse 10 and 11, it reads, "do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will really help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness". Can you that? God caring about you so much that he is holding you.

what I meant to say was "four-minute-mile barrier". Sorry!

May your legacy as a runner and how you broke the four-mile barrier always be remembered and admired, Sir Roger Bannister!

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

When I was a teenager growing up outside of Oxford I regularly passed by the Iffley Road track on my way into Oxford. There was never a day went by, and still to this day, that I don't think of your miraculous achievement. RIP Sir Roger...

To the family, I am sorry to hear the news a about your loss.
May God who "binds up the broken hearted" and comforted all who mourns" sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2
