Edward Rivere, 89, a resident of Plattenville, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018. A visitation will be held in his honor on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Landry's Funeral Home, Napoleonville, Louisiana, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Assumption Catholic Church, Plattenville, Louisiana, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Plattenville, Louisiana. He is survived by his loving daughters, Charlotte Naquin, Susan Foret and husband Daniel; son-in-law, Steve Jarreau; grandsons, Chad Naquin, Casey Jarreau and wife Celeste; his adored great-grandchildren, Marine Sgt. Jared Naquin; Michael and Logan Naquin; Cohen, Connor, Camryn, and Cole Jarreau; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Gros Rivere; daughter, Judy Rivere Jarreau; son-in-law, Nolan Naquin; parents, Philippe and Ernestine Rivere; five sisters and four brothers. Special thanks to his nephew, D.J. Domingue, for his support and loving care; and to the staff of The Crossing At Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.
