Not sure what to say?

I've only know Robert for 4 years or so but as evidenced by all the nice things said about him he was a cut above. He was my friend from the day I met him and I will truly miss him. I know he loved his family dearly and I offer my deepest sympathies to the family. The last time we talked he told me one of the stories mentioned above. What a story teller he was! Robert was a good man. A good man.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family; and yes, I'm confident that Buz now has his angel wings. Buz was in charge of my training as an office & credit manager at Lowe's in West Monroe in the late 1970's. His professional attitude and willingness to share his knowledge were instrumental in helping me start a new career. I'm not surprised to learn that he would volunteer at EMS. I regret that we didn't keep in touch over the years after the move to Texas, especially now learning he was living just across the river in Addis. May you rest in peace, Buz.

My sweet daddy left this world yesterday and gained his angel wings. Although my heart is shattered into a million pieces I take solace in knowing that he is now in a place free of pain. He fought long and hard to stay with us for as long as he could. To know my daddy was to love him. He never met a stranger and was a great story teller. If you are asking me, I would say the best there ever was. His stories often ended in an uncontrollable fit of laughter coming deep from the belly, more times than not, from him. You had no choice but to join in. What I wouldn't do to hear just one more story. He loved Sudoku, The Houston Astros, Westerns and the occasional Miller Light. He loved his girls, his grandchildren and oh boy did he love my mama. He loved hard and fierce and because he never let a day go by without us knowing that, he was loved the exact same way. He wore many hats within his lifetime. He was a friend, a husband, a father, and probably his most favorite hat of all, a papa. We will carry his love and memory with us on every future adventure and ensure he is with us just as he has always been. I am forever grateful for the 40 years I was blessed with the priviledge of calling him daddy. He will always be the greatest man I have ever known, my hero, my daddy. I will love him and cherish his memory untill the day we meet again
