Joseph "Joe" John Rome departed his earthly existence Saturday February 08, 2020 at the age of 61 at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. He most recently worked for Iberville Parish Parks and Recreation Department, The City of Plaquemine, and in the East Baton Rouge Parish Schools System with Aramark, Incorporated at Belaire High and LaBelle Aire Elementary. He was a pivotal staff member of Image Fine Catering, Inc. Left to embrace Joseph's memory is a Grand Host, including family members, co-workers, and place-of-worship Saints. His devoted companion Dr. Karen Becnel, daughter Deleisia Williams, son MicAnthony (Annette), both of Baton Rouge, LA, son Cecil Adams of Hot Springs, AR, son Zahkeem Rome of Los Angeles, CA. Sisters Audrey Gremillon, Denise Battieste (Herman);brothers Lewis Rome (Annette), Michael Rome (Audrey) all of Baton Rouge, LA, and brother Tommy Rome, Sr. (Keisha) of White Castle, LA. God-Daughter Phyllis Cahn-Weniyu, his loyal nephew Tommy "Boo" Rome, numerous grandchildren, family members, and friends. Waiting to meet Joseph in Glory are his parents Ludries and Clara (Kelly) Rome, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visiting Saturday February 15, 2020 9:00 am until Religious Service at 11:00 am at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, 58820 W.W. Harleaux St., Plaquemine, a 70764. Mr. Rome was a very good man; his deeds on earth were being the person you could always count on. He demonstrated daily that he was humble and faithful in his actions with and toward others. . He will be missed blessings to his family and friends.
