Ted A. (Teddy) Bourgoyne, Jr. passed away at the age of 56 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Carpenter House. Teddy was born on September 1, 1961, was a resident of Ruston, LA, and graduated from Arlington Vocation School. He was a kind, gentle man who was special in so many ways. He loved music, loved his Daddy and Momma, had an infectious laugh and in spite of all the pain in his life, he had a smile that could brighten any room. He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Ruth Foust Bourgoyne; his siblings, Susan Hopper, Therese, Lana and William Bourgoyne and their spouses; and numerous nieces and nephews. Teddy was preceded in death by his father, Ted A. Bourgoyne, Sr.; sister, Sally Ann Bourgoyne; and niece, Katherine Holloway. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Carpenter House for their gentle care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph's Carpenter House. Sorry for your loss Mr.& Mrs. Bourgoyne I remember Teddy and he was always happy. And I will always remember the banana bread you use to make.

Aunt Ruth & Family, No words cannot express how sorry I am for the loss of Teddy. He was a special soul and will be missed by all that knew and loved him. I am sorry that I am unable to attend his service please accept my condolences.
