Tanner "Diana" Abney Welch, 67, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2018 surrounded by her family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 26, 1950 in Shelby, Ms. Resident of Louisiana. She was a 1968 graduate of Istrouma High School. Worked as a hairdresser and bartender, where she was always a friend to all. Survived by her loving husband of 30 years Donald E. Welch, son Jacque Courville and wife Kimber Courville of Greenwell Springs, La, daughter Angela Wright of Deville, La., son Donald "DJ" Welch of Ocean Springs, Ms., three brothers Curtis Hatcher, Johnny Hatcher and Bobby Hatcher, and three sisters Hope Vincent, Syble Clark and Gayle Brooks. She was Nana to her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Courville, Madeline Wright, Makayla Courville, Hannah Rabalais, grandson Shayde Johnson and wife Alyssa Johnson, Daylen Welch, Vincent "Vinny" Welch, and three great granddaughters Myla Johnson, Charlee Johnson, and Remi' Johnson. She joined in heaven her mother Ella Mae Romantino, father Tanner Abney, Stepfather Albert Romantino, brothers Gerry Hatcher and Mitchell Abney and granddaughter Jessica Courville. For everyone that knew her, you would know that Heaven is now changed forever!! Diana was always the life of the party; therefore, a celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Visitation will be from 11-1 with memorial service to follow at 1:00. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care provided during this journey by Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, especially Melanie Williams and St. Tammany Hospice, especially nurse Amie Thompson, and sitters Lawanna Williams and Carloyn Dyson.

It's hard to think you're gone. I'm going to remember you as the talented, artistic, caring, fun loving, beautiful woman that you were. Tell your Mom, Al, and my Dad how much I love and miss them. Help me watch over your brother, you know I need the help!!! I hope you're loving up on Jessica Rose, and Mitchell Timothy. We'll see you again, until then I love you Sista!!!
