COL (R) John M. Campbell and wife Sylvia Foreman Campbell were saddened to hear of James' death. Our prayers are with his family.
Before John and James served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam, James drove the car that carried us from Crosby to N. O. for our first Mardi Gras. We were in good, dependable hands in a city quite different from Crosby! For many years in Crosby, the Cobb family and the Cullie Foreman family got together often. After some good food, our parents played Rook for hours! Depending on our ages, we children caught 'lightning bugs' and put them in jars or listened to music, talked, and played games. Good family times! Good memories!!

Growing up we would often take a trip over to Crosby, MS., to visit some of our favorite cousins. I have the fondest memories of those summer days spent at Aunt Sally's house. I remember Jamie letting me pull up the water from the well and gathering the eggs from the chicken coup. He was a sweet guy and I will miss him. My love and sympathy to you all.

Mandy, Jimbo and Adrian,
Remembering you in our prayers during this difficult time. So many good memories of Jim and your family at the many, many baseball games we attended together. My boys still talk about Mr. Jim and his famous words at the ballfield, "Come on, Blue."

Some of my finest memories are of the days at the Cobb's home in the backyard with kids running everywhere, grownups laughing and Jim holding court over it all with a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed by all who's lives he touched.
