Bevenue "BJ" Landry passed away on December 27, 2018 at the age of 76. He was a native of Klotzville, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA. He graduated from Gonzales Highschool class of 1960. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964. BJ was a retired crane and heavy equipment operator. He was known for being able to fix anything and could often be found in his shop helping family, friends or neighbors work on their projects. He was a daddy to girls, who he taught to be strong and independent. He is survived by his daughters, Patti Sue Frentz and her partner Eddie Knobloch, and Julie Landry McIntosh and her husband Henry McIntosh; stepsons, Dan Jacobsen and his wife Lisha Jacobsen, and Jimmy Rudd; stepdaughters, Shirley Truax Broussard, Brenda Gann, Cheryl Truax-Varnell; brother-in-law, Dick Wallendal and his wife Sybil Wallendal, brother-in-law, Robert Richards; sister-in-law, Jeanne Jessie, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Richards Chism and her partner Michael Langford; grandchildren, Devin J. Cherry and her husband Kevin Cherry, Ryan J. Frentz and his wife Melissa Frentz; greatgrandchildren, Corben J. Frentz, Levi P. Frentz, Lincoln A. Frentz, and Liam A. Cherry;. He is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Norma Landry; his mother, Aline C. Landry; his father, Bienvenue L. Landry; and brother-in-law, Jim Jessie. Please join us for a gathering of friends and family for a time of remembrance on Saturday February 2, 2019 between 2:00pm-5:00pm at 39142 Country Dr. Prairieville, LA 70769.
