She grew up in Denham Springs and graduated from DSHS. Gay was a high school cheerleader and played varsity basketball. The family wishes to sincerely express our gratitude to her devoted caregivers Cindy, Shay, Annise and Debra who lovingly cared for her, and to Ashley, her nurse from the Hospice of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be at Jefferson Baptist Church, 9135 Jefferson Hwy. on Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 11:00 am until the memorial service to begin at 12:00 p.m. A private burial will be held prior to visitation. Please consider making a memorial donation to Heritage Ranch Christian Children's Home, 20090 Tucker Rd., Zachary, LA 70791 or to The Hospice of Baton Rouge, 3600 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

So many share your grief and are praying in behalf of the family after your great loss. Having lost your dad just a few months ago also makes the weight of your grief that much heavier. Always reflect on the wisdom, love and strength in the face of adversity that they no doubt instilled in you so you could pass this along to your children. May God provide the needed comfort and support from family and friends during your time of bereavement and beyond.
