Jacquelynn "Jackie" Landry Robert, 85, a native of New Orleans and resident of Donaldsonville passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, reading and spending time with her husband and family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 65 years, Herman "Whitey" Robert Sr.; three children, Myrtis Acosta (Phil), Denise Hidalgo (Jimmy) and Herman Robert Jr. (Wendi); six grandchildren, Jed, Jonathon, Shelly, Jimmy Jr. "Cooter," Elise and Lacey; eight great-grandchildren, Aubree, Amelia, Charlee, Teddi, Aiden, Adalyn, Brayden and Leighton; two brothers, Lee and Hawley Landry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milburn and Myrtis Harp Landry. The family would like to thank New Century Hospice, the staff at Chateau Dville Nursing home and her special friend, Kari Bercegeay. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 6pm until 9pm and will resume at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Ms Jackie, faith tells me you are now free of pain, worry, fears; whole and fully restored. Our earthly flesh mourns, while our faith filled hearts rejoice that you are looking into the eyes of Jesus, "Home".
Prayers for Mr Whitey and family, prayers for a peace that transcends all understanding, as well as comfort, and eventual joy.
