Mr. John Cecil Bennett, 90, of Denham Springs, LA died Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Bennett was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs and was retired after 40 years from Copolymer Rubber and Chemical Company. He was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Ellis Bennett; grandson, Darren James Bennett; parents, Frank Oliver Bennett, Sr. and Cornelia Picard Bennett; three brothers, Oliver Bennett, Joel Bennett and Hardy Bennett and two sisters, Margaret O'Donnell and Ida Mae Sharpe. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Anna Joyce Trahan Bennett; six children, James Bennett (Glenda), Cecil Keith Bennett (Lauren), Daniel Bennett (Gwendolyn), Janet Bennett Orgeron (Harold), Craig Bennett and John Kevin Bennett (Judith); two sisters, Louise Anselmo and Winnie Lee Smith (Mike); sister-in-law, Alice Bennett; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous other family members. Services will be at 12:00pm Friday, January 4, 2019 at Greenoaks Funeral Home-9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815 with visitation from 10:00am to service time at the funeral home. Rosary at 10:30am
