Mrs. Katherine O. "Miss Kitty" Seawell, a resident of Ventress, LA, passed away peacefully at the age of 89, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at home under the care of her daughter Catherine, her sitter and friend Marie P. "Jelly" Louis and Pointe Coupee Hospice (nurses Joann and Cassie). She is survived by a daughter, Catherine Seawell David (Joseph Keith David); a son, Paul D. Seawell, Sr.; a sister, Nell Golden (A.C. Golden); grandchildren, Andrew B., Damon, Tracy, Paul Jr., Brian, Blair, Trisha and Brandon; great-grandchildren Nicole, Alyssa, Serra and Sophia. She is preceded in death by her husband William C. "Bill" Seawell; sons, Edward, John, and Michael; parents Alma and Alexandre Ortego; brothers, Floyd and Huey; sisters, Cecelia, Betty, and Gloria. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13th at Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads, LA from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Friday, September 14th at St. Mary's Church in New Roads, LA from 8 to 9 a.m. with mass to follow at 9 to 10 a.m. conducted by Fr. Pat Broussard. Interment will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA. Pall Bearers are Paul D. Seawell, Jr., Blair Seawell, Joseph Keith David, Andrew B. Seawell, Brandon David and Michael Ortego.
