Family and friends mourn the loss of Louis J. Fought, who died on September 9, 2018. Fought, currently of Richmond, Texas, grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and lived in New Orleans and Austin, but spent the majority of the past forty-five years in the Houston area. He was an alumni of LSU, a USAF veteran, retired from HUD and the Civil Air Patrol, proprietor of Lou's Brass Band and Instrument Shop, and beloved in the community bands of East Texas and the Hill Country. A reception will be held at 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Earthman Southwest Funeral Directors in Stafford. Donations to Salvation Army requested in lieu of flowers. Please visit www.earthmansouthwest.com to place online tributes.

Glenna, Ed and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family. Our memories go back to LSU band days and long after as we met at the band reunion. We will always keep those times together in our hearts. God be with you.
