A loving father, grandfather and husband, Max Gerald Futch passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. He was born in Spearsville, LA on January 31, 1930. Preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Georgia Futch; brother, Glen Futch; sister, Amaryllis Futch. Survived by his wife LaFaye Kilgore Futch; daughter, Angie Reinhardt and husband Mark of Arlington, Tx., son, Greg Futch and wife Erika of Denham Springs, La., grandchildren, Matthew and wife Michaeldae, Hunter and Garrett Reinhardt of Arlington, Tx., Baileigh and Bren Futch of Denham Springs, La., great granddaughter, Fisher Faye Reinhardt; brother, Charles Futch and sister, Betty Futch Ridley. He graduated from LA Tech University with a BA in Business and Pre-Law. He owned his own business Futch Design Associated Inc. for 50 years. Max was an inventor and holds 2 U.S. government patents. He was quite a designer and very well respected throughout the Food Service industry. He spent 3 years in the U.S. Air Force where he worked on Project Blue Book which was tasked with investigating UFO sightings. Max never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor and joy for life. He always looked for the good in people and he will be greatly missed by family and friends. Pallbears are his 4 loving grandsons, Matthew, Hunter and Garrett Reinhardt and Bren Futch He was a member and deacon of Broadmoor Baptist Church for 58 years. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Broadmoor Baptist Church with the memorial service at 12:00 pm. Family asks for any memorials to be given to Broadmoor Baptist Church

Max Futch was a kind and honest person. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to work for such a remarkable man. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Faye, Greg and family.

Our deepest sympathy for Max's family, Greg and the folks at Futch Designs. Max was a wonderful person to work with, such a professional and knew his business backwards and forwards, taught us architects how to really coordinate equipment design with the rest of the building design, and will miss him dearly.
