A compassionate and loving mother, grandmother and friend to everyone, Myra (Ginger) Virginia Newman Rudolph passed away on Monday, July 09, 2018, at her home in Gonzales, Louisiana. She was 72, born in Baton Rouge on July 05, 1946. A resident of Gonzales, she lived many years and raised her family in Bossier City, Louisiana. A graduate of Baker High School in Baker, Louisiana, she attended Spencer Business College and later studied to become a Medical Transcriptionist. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Star of Baker Chapter 234. In her earlier years, she was an active and involved member of Baker United Methodist Church where she served on several committees and was the church secretary for many years. She was a huge supporter of the Armed Forces and was a supporting member of the Wounded Warrior Foundation for several years. She loved all animals, especially horses and cats, including Riley. An avid fan of LSU football, she rarely missed a game and always loved to talk about football. Reading was a passion of hers and writing poetry was her specialty. She is survived by her two children and son-in-law, Leeann Serio Davidson and Joe Davidson of Haughton, Louisiana, and Albert Michael Rudolph, Jr (Rudy) of Lafayette, Louisiana; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Serio Davidson, Zakk Davidson and Alex Davidson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carlys Newman Landry and Mike Landry of Kaplan, Louisiana, and Kathy Newman Gautreau and Steve Gautreau of Gonzalas, Louisiana; 5 nieces and 1 nephew, Kim Gautreau Hammond, Angie Gautreau, Erin Oakes, Will Cleghorn, Lori Landry and Kristi Renfrow. She was preceded in death by her parents Reuben Newman, Jr and Helen Dunaway Newman; husband Albert Michael Rudolph, Sr.; sister Beverly Newman Cleghorn. Gin, or momma, as most called her, loved the Lord and lived to serve Him. Throughout her life she reached out to countless people with the Good News and prayed for many. She never met a stranger and was loved by everyone that knew her. We are thankful for the time we were given with her and we know she will continue to look over us.
