Oct. 29, 1929 - Dec. 12, 2012. Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Doyle will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Freedom Baptist Church, Plainview, with Reverend Jeff James officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Occupy #1 Cemetery, Pitkin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Doyle, 83, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. Kenneth was a United States Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient of the Korean War. He taught driver education classes and math at Central High School in Baton Rouge. He later became a supervisor and administrator for the Louisiana Department of Education. He was a former member of the Rapides Parish School Board and he loved the people he represented. He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie Mae Doyle; his parents, Hiram and Mary Doyle; his step-mother, Gertie Doyle; one step-son, John Larry Netherland and one brother, Lamar Doyle. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one step-son, David C. Netherland and his wife, Judy of Greenwell Springs; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at Freedom Baptist Church, Plainview, on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Friends may post online messages of condolence for the Doyle family by visiting
