Antaram Kaltakdjian was born on March 15, 1933, to Garabed and Gulenia Kaltakdjian in Damascus, Syria. Antaram was a professional seamstress while residing in Damascus where she was very well known and respected in the community for her expertise in women's couture. In 1980, Baton Rouge became her new home where she has since lived surrounded by her siblings, nieces and nephews. Although Antaram didn't have children of her own, she was like a mother figure to everyone that knew her. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. On the morning of January 10, 2021 Antaram went to be with the Lord soundly in her sleep. Antaram is survived by her sisters Lucin Djoundourian and Azadouhi Moutafian along with her nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory would be appreciated to St. Garabed Armenian Church.
